My mom and I took Garrett to the annual Rubber Ducky Regatta for the United Way. The idea is that you buy a duck $5 or $10 and you get a number. A "race duck" with your number goes in with the rest and if you place you win a prize. The United Way and our Local water park (Raging Waters) have been doing this fundraiser since 1994. (We didn't win anything by the way) All in all it took about 15 minutes for this years ELEVEN THOUSAND ducks to make their way around the lazy river. ALL of the money raised stays in our community...how cool is that?
